Beyond the Roundtable - Nutrition I

The first of a two part series on ruminant nutrition. This day's symposium will introduce the audience to the ruminant digestive tract from the stomach to the lower digestive tract. Rumen microflora will be explained in detail with a discussion into changes in bacteria with diet changes and ionophores.

After, a discussion about what is known today about nutritional requirements it will all be brought into perspective with a summary and roundtable discussion.

The day will prep the audience for Nutrition II in August where presentations will deal with proteins, energy and minerals, followed with a discussion on meeting the needs of supplementation.
